A leaky marine head can be a very shitty situation. At one point during our shakedown cruise around Lake Michigan, (thanks to a combination of rollicking seas, a leaky hand pump, and plain ignorance) we ended up with toilet water where it SHOULDN’T be — outside the bowl. Thankfully it was mostly contained in the shower pan, but nevertheless, this experience only confirmed what we had already decided: The marine head and holding tank gotta GO.

We take you step-by-step through removing our head and holding tank, unbox our new composting head (the C-Head), and talk about why we picked it over the other popular composting toilet, Nature’s Head.
